Interview with Avalaura Gaither Beharry
Dhylles: Who is Avalaura Gaither Beharry
Avalaura: This is a funny question because I ask my clients this very question. Outside of all the roles we play, the hats we wear and all the tasks we have, who are you really? I spent years soul searching, hoping, wishing and praying for the answer to this very question. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about helping my clients discover the answers for themselves. True freedom, happiness and inner peace lies in knowing who you are and your very purpose for being.
What I now know for sure at the core of my being is that I am God’s servant. My purpose is to serve my Creator. And I use the gifts that He has given me as a healer, counselor, spiritual life coach, teacher, speaker, author, wife, daughter, sister, friend and future mother to serve Him and help high powered, professional women in leadership to embrace all that they are to live their greatest life in service to themselves and the world.
Dhylles: When did you realize you were born an accomplishment?
Avalaura: Deep down in my heart and soul, I always knew I was special and destined for greatness. I don’t mean that in an arrogant way, because this knowledge has always been humbling for me. I was taught that with great purpose comes great responsibility. I have been blessed with amazing parents, siblings and family who has always supported me, even when they didn’t understand my decisions. So I always had a knowingness of my destiny, but it wasn’t until I met my spiritual teacher in 2007 who changed my life forever that I really really really knew how great my destiny was. As time passes, I’m still learning and growing fully into my being-ness and greatness.
Dhylles: What does the word humility mean to you and why?
Avalaura: Humility is giving all praise, glory and gratitude to God for anything and everything that I have been blessed to experience. With each experience; good, bad or ugly, I was gifted wisdom, lessons, and increased abilities to do the work He created me to do. With every failure, mistake, and downfall, He continued to lift me up even higher than I was before. This is why I know through experience after experience that we receive exactly what we need in the way and time that we need it to be our highest, greatest self. It is up to us to take these lessons and use them for our greatest good.
Dhylles: What does it mean to be disciplined in oneself? Please explain
Avalaura: Discipline is focusing on my ultimate goal to serve God, assist women and individuals to live their best life and to be the best and highest version of myself that I can be. When I focus on the vision for myself and my life; it allows me to do whatever work it takes even when I don’t want to do something. I do it anyway because I know it will help me to accomplish my ultimate goals.
Dhylles: I thank you so much for sharing with me and the world Avalaura! Much continued success!
